Wildlife and nature photography

For years it has been a great joy, and indeed an honour and a privilege, to photograph almost any kind of wildlife that has walked, run, crept, flown, swam, crawled, climbed, jumped or slithered in front of my lens. The endless beauty and grace of the natural world is a constant source of amazement and wonder to me - from dragonflies around my garden pond to tree frogs in the rain forest of Northern Australia, from ducklings in my local pond to stripy rats on the slopes of Kilimanjaro and from the most stunning bird of paradise to the ugliest warthog, I've done my best to do them all justice. Whether I've needed to get up before dawn to photograph spawning toads, trawl through endless calculations to get the best possible pictures of flying bats or lie face-down in the mud to get a newly hatched duckling's eye view of the world, nothing has been too much trouble for the joy that photography brings me. I've become an expert in both the technical and artistic sides of photography, I've aquired some of the best equipment in the world, I know it inside out & can make the best use of all the available features. Whatever the image I'm trying to capture I can find a way to get just the picture I want, whatever it takes.

Now, I can bring the same expertise, experience, insight, planning, determination and ingenuity to your wedding album. No matter how big or how small your wedding, no matter how traditional or modern, formal or informal, civil or religious, you will not find a photographer who will work harder to get exactly the shots you want, at an exceptionally reasonable price. I find the same joy and excitement in wedding photography as I do when capturing wildlife and I find that my background in wildlife photography is a positive advantage - wildlife never does what it's told! You have to work around wildlife rather than make the wildlife work around you - you have to be flexible, knowlegable, organised, forward planning and inventive to get the best shots - exactly the same qualities needed by the best modern wedding photographers.
